Dr. Michael Ganim is a licensed psychologist in the State of Texas. He has
over sixteen years of experience in counseling individuals, couples and families. Dr.
Ganim maintains an active counseling practice at the Minirth Clinic in Richardson, Texas.
In his outpatient therapy, Dr. Ganim specializes in marital therapy as well as individual
psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, addictions,
codependency, eating disorders, sexual abuse and low self-esteem.
Dr. Ganim received his Ph.D. in School Psychology from Texas Woman's University. He holds
a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Our lady of the Lake University of
San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Dallas Baptist University.
Counseling Philosophy
Dr. Ganim believes the purpose of therapy is to facilitate healthier and
more intimate relationships with Christ and others. The counseling relationship provides a
safe place for individuals to experience and express their feelings as a bridge to greater
emotional vulnerability in their relationship with God and other people.
