Life Skills Workshops

Teri Fusilier facilitates this bi-weekly instructional workshops designed help teach the individuals skills needed to deal with the ups and downs of life.  Topics included anxiety, forgiveness and trust, blended families, loneliness and discerning God's Will.  They take place every Tuesday and Thursday morning 8:00am - 9:00am here at the clinic.  The cost is $20 and no insurance is needed.  Registration is at the front door the morning of the class.  For the date of each topic call the clinic at 1-888-646-4784.

The Anger Workshop

Dr. Les Carter, staff psychotherapist at the Minirth Clinic is offering a six week workshop designed to explore the many ways anger can be experienced and why people struggle with it.  It contains lecture, interactive questioning, checklist and handouts.  Dr. Carter is offering two six week sessions starting August 17, 2000 and September 28, 2000.  They run on consecutive Thursday nights from 6:30pm-8:00pm.  The cost is $45 per session ($55 for a couple) or $240 for all six sessions with advanced payment ($300 for a couple).  It is suggested that you call early and pay in advance to reserve a seat.

The Boundaries Workshop   

Dr. Les Carter, staff psychotherapist at the Minirth Clinic is presenting a six week workshop designed to let individuals define, explore and balance boundaries in their life.  The sessions will include lectures, handouts, checklists, and interactive questioning sessions.  The workshop will run on consecutive Thursday evenings starting on November 9, 2000.  The cost will be $45 per session ($55 per couple) or $240 for all six sessions with advanced payment.  Preregistration is suggested.

Problem Solving 101

This weekly workshop is designed to help discuss and talk through various problems that might arise.  Topics could include, but are not limited to stress, time management, anger and family problems. The group will meet at the Minirth Clinic each Wednesday night at 7:30pm beginning August 2, 2000 and run through August 23, 2000.  Cost is $20 per individual, per session or $35 per couple, per session and registration will be accepted beforehand or at the door.  Facilitated by Carl W. Miller M.A.B.C.-Praticum. 

Strategic Living Workshop

This weekly discussion and problem solving group meets every Tuesday evening at 6:00pm at the Minirth Clinic.  The group will explore ways to achieve intentional and practical living.  The cost is $20 per individual per session or $30 per session. Registration is accepted beforehand or at the door.  Facilitated by Jason L. Cherry, M.A. LPC-Intern.

Women's Empowerment Workshop

This workshop facilitated my Traci Davis, M.A., LPC is a six week discussion group designed to give women the opportunity to look within themselves and discover inner strengths.  This group will help you relearn the tools that enable you to accentuate your God given talents, work on self esteem, prioritize, rejuvenate without guilt and take care of yourself.  The workshop starts on Monday, September 25, 2000 and will meet at 7:00 pm here at the clinic.  The cost is $20 per session.

THE JAMES GROUP

This group helps individuals recovering from sexual addiction and temptation through a 12 step program in an atmosphere of accountability from a Christian Perspective.  Facilitators Dr. Harry Beverly, Ph.D., Bryan Atkinson, Practicum Intern, and Jeff Stucke, Practicum Intern use the powerful scripture of James as a guide to break the cycle of lust, shame and guilt.  Sessions begin Thursday, September 7, 2000 from 6:30-8:00.  Each session (1 per week) is $20 paid each month in advance ($80). Advanced registration is suggested.
